COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
When you visit Green Hands USA, you provide us with two types of information: (1) Personal information you knowingly and voluntarily disclose for our collection and (2) Site use information we collect as you interact with the Green Hands USA Service.
Upon registration as a Member of Green Hands USA, you create a password, which we maintain on our system in encrypted form to ensure its confidentiality. You create a unique user name that will identify you at log in and while you use the site. You may provide personal and demographic information such as name, email address, date of birth, gender, zip code, and further personal or preference information. Please note that Green Hands USA owns your user name, grants you a license to use it while you are a Member, and reserves all rights to your user name either after you cease to be a Member or following an extended period of inactivity, including but not limited to the right to revoke, reuse, resell or license your user name.
When you visit Green Hands USA, whether as a registered Member or an unregistered User, we may collect limited, non-personally identifying information that your browser makes available whenever you visit a Web site. This information may include your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, browser language, use patterns, access times, referring Web site addresses, and certain "cookie" information (please see below for further information regarding "cookies").
WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT?
Green Hands USA uses the personal information we collect to customize content for users, as well as to evaluate and improve our Service, solve problems, and respond to user trends. This information also allows us to contact users with newsletters, emails, promotional materials and other updates. A user may, at any time, opt out of receiving such communication. We never sell email addresses, and we never send "spam".
Sometimes it is necessary for Green Hands USA to send out a strictly service-related announcement. For instance, if service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users a notification email. Generally, you may not opt out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you wish not to receive any emails at all from us, you have the option to deactivate your account.
Green Hands USA may share aggregate user information, such as demographic, age, and online usage patterns, with third parties. In this case, we may use and share your information, but without identifying you as an individual to third parties. We do this so that you receive only information that is relevant to your interests.
Green Hands USA reserves the right to use or disclose any information without notice or consent if we believe in good faith that the law requires us to do so. We reserve the right do so in order to conduct investigations of consumer complaints or possible breaches of law, to protect the integrity of our site and our property, to protect the safety of our visitors or others, to fulfill your requests, to comply with subpoenas or court orders, or to cooperate in any legal investigation.
In the event of corporate restructuring, certain assets of Green Hands USA may be sold, merged or otherwise transferred. In such transactions, user information may be one of the transferred assets.
Please note that Green Hands USA is not responsible for any information you voluntarily disclose online, whether on Green Hands USA or any other online location. Information you release through chat, message boards, email or any online post can be collected and used by others, and you may receive unsolicited messages in return. Green Hands USA has no control over this use of your personal information.
A cookie is a piece of information stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We use session ID cookies that terminate once you close your browser.
